 सीएडी (कंप्यूटर एडेड डिजाइन) सॉफ्टवेयर का उपयोग आर्किटेक्ट, इंजीनियर, ड्राफ्टर्स, आर्टिस्ट और अन्य लोग सटीक चित्र या तकनीकी चित्र बनाने के लिए करते हैं।  सीएडी सॉफ्टवेयर का उपयोग दो-आयामी (2-डी) चित्र या तीन-आयामी (3-डी) मॉडल बनाने के लिए किया जा सकता है।
